Why Excel Accounting Began

Growing up in family owned businesses, Sally Anderson, founder of Excel Accounting & Consulting, LLC knew there was a need for a specialized accounting practice. Sure, there are accounting and tax firms in every town, but Sally’s belief was that a practice should be more that just a place to have your taxes done once a year. She believed it could be a teaching facility too.

In early 2005, after working for several years in the medical industry and public accounting, Sally formed Excel Accounting & Consulting, LLC. Excel Accounting, much like other accounting and tax practices, focuses on the needs of income tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping and payroll but the difference is Excel Accounting is there to teach and empower their clients. Each of our clients is carefully walked through their personal and/or business tax returns once completed. Each of our clients is taught how to read and understand their business financial statements. Each of our clients is offered to be taught how to do their own bookkeeping if they so choose. Our client-first approach is what Excel Accounting & Consulting, LLC does to Help You Excel.

Since our doors opened in 2005, we have grown from a one person operation to a four person operation. We have over 300 clients and growing. We pride ourselves in keeping our education, knowledge and technology on the front-end which makes for efficiency and accuracy while striving to always keep our costs and overhead down to maintain pricing for our clients.

Sally Anderson

Sally Anderson is the owner of Excel Accounting & Consulting. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and is licensed as a Registered Tax Return Preparer and Public Accountant. Sally has spent the last 15 years growing Excel Accounting & Consulting to a full service, year-round accounting and income tax practice. Prior to having her own practice, she worked in public accounting for over 3 years. Sally enjoys the client relationships she makes and seeing how each of them grow and evolve over time. In Sally’s time away from work, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, spending time at her family lake home and with her husband and son.

Lyn Thompson

Lyn Thompson works remotely from Marana, AZ as a Bookkeeper for Excel Accounting & Consulting. Her career in bookkeeping started right out of high school which lead her to assist her husband in their family owned businesses and now she has the ability to be retired but continue to stay active from time to time working remotely assisting Excel Accounting & Consulting with projects. Lyn’s vast knowledge and experience over the years in bookkeeping makes her a key role in this company. In Lyn’s spare time, her and her husband enjoy learning about the history of Arizona, traveling, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.

Amy Hill

Amy Hill is the owner of her own small business accounting and tax firm. She collaborates with Excel Accounting & Consulting to provide accounting and tax services as needed. Amy has worked with several private industries, including manufacturing, personal services, automotive, insurance and sales. Prior to starting her own business, she was employed by a CPA firm for 8 years working closely with small business clients preparing business tax returns and financial statements. She has a broad knowledge of payroll, sales tax, federal excise tax and government issue. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Shelly Weber

Shelly Weber is the founder of her own business and works remotely from Minnesota and Arizona throughout the year. She has extensive experience providing payroll in a wide range of industries and all size businesses. From one employee to multiple employees an a city ran facility, Shelly will be able to handle all of your payroll requirements brought to Excel Accounting and Consulting.

In Shelly's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, being outside, seeing what the world has to offer and having a little wind therapy on her motorcycle as time permits.
