Why Excel Accounting Began

Sally Anderson, founder of Excel Accounting & Consulting, LLC, recognized the need for a specialized accounting practice from her experience growing up in family-owned businesses. She saw beyond the typical tax services, envisioning a place where clients could also learn about their finances.

Since 2005, Excel Accounting & Consulting has focused on income tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting. What sets us apart is our commitment to empowering clients—whether it’s explaining tax returns, helping them understand financial statements, or teaching them how to manage their own bookkeeping. Our client-first approach is at the heart of what we do to help you excel.

Today, we’ve grown from a one-person operation to a three-person team, serving over 300 clients. We stay ahead with ongoing education and technology to provide efficient, accurate services while keeping our costs competitive.

    Sally Anderson

    CEO | RTRP | PA

    Sally Anderson is the owner of Excel Accounting & Consulting. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and is licensed as a Registered Tax Return Preparer and Public Accountant. Sally has spent over 15 years growing Excel Accounting & Consulting to a full service, year-round accounting and income tax practice. Prior to having her own practice, she worked in public accounting for over 3 years. Sally enjoys the client relationships she makes and seeing how each of them grow and evolve over time. In Sally’s time away from work, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, spending time at her family lake home and with her husband and son.

  • Lyn Thompson

    BOOKKEEPER

    Lyn Thompson works remotely from Marana, AZ as a Bookkeeper for Excel Accounting & Consulting. Her career in bookkeeping started right out of high school which lead her to assist her husband in their family owned businesses and now she has the ability to be retired but continue to stay active from time to time working remotely assisting Excel Accounting & Consulting with projects. Lyn’s vast knowledge and experience over the years in bookkeeping makes her a key role in this company. In Lyn’s spare time, her and her husband enjoy learning about the history of Arizona, traveling, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.

  • Amy Hill

    ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTANT

    Amy Hill is the owner of her own small business accounting and tax firm. She collaborates with Excel Accounting & Consulting to provide accounting and tax services as needed. Amy has worked with several private industries, including manufacturing, personal services, automotive, insurance and sales. Prior to starting her own business, she was employed by a CPA firm for 8 years working closely with small business clients preparing business tax returns and financial statements. She has a broad knowledge of payroll, sales tax, federal excise tax and government issue. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
